
CONGRATULATIONS to the WHS Unified Track Team for earning FIRST PLACE in their Division on Monday, April 28. They are now headed to the State Championship meet on Wednesday May 14th. Great job!

Congratulations to the WHS Speech and Debate Team which took top spots at the FCPS Speech and Debate Tournament Friday, April 25th. Bailey Watson and Malikai Moore won first place, Alanah Fore and Ethan Burdick won second place, and Yeabsera Shotela won fourth place, for a solid lock out by WHS in the debate category. New this season is impromptu speech, and WHS once again swept the board. Saleema Kang won first place, Florian Kamden won third place. and Chloe Cameron took fourth place. This is the first tournament of its kind in Frederick County, but its slowly growing. Keep an eye out next year if speech and debate sounds like fun to you.
