Throughout the two months President Trump has been in office there have been rising tensions between America and other countries. These countries include Canada, Denmark, the UK, and many others. While all are important issues to focus on, one of the most immediate ones would be Canada.
About Canada and Why It’s an Issue

Prime Minister of Canada Arab News
Canada is a big trade partner. This has made Canada a necessity to America especially due to its geographical closeness. Canada provides America with natural gases, oil, hydropower, and lumber that the U.S uses in cars and other kinds of machines. The U.S putting tariffs on Canada imports will cause issues for American citizens along with the threats of annexation that cause heightening tensions between Canada and U.S. Trump himself has confirmed that it was a serious threat due to Canadian resources. Justin Trudeau Canada’s Prime Minister said in his response that it is time Canada thinks strategically and tactically to avoid tariffs while making better trade with other countries.
Denmark and conflict with America

President Trump has stated that due to rising temperatures melting the ice off of Greenland, new raw minerals have been exposed that could be of great benefit to the U.S. President Trump stated that he wanted to take Greenland, though he did not want to pay for it and would use military force to obtain it.
To rightfully obtain Greenland, Trump would need permission from both Denmark and Greenland, which he will not get. Greenland’s Prime Minister, Múte B. Egede, has confirmed Greenland’s sovereignty by saying, “We don’t want to be Danish, we don’t want to be American, we want to be Greenlandic.” This dispute has caused tensions between Denmark, Greenland, and the U.S.A., which is an issue as Denmark and the U.S.A are both founders of NATO, as well as Russia, which is also trying to annex Greenland.
Russia and U.S.A Relations

(The Economic Times)
President Trump wants to have strong relations with Vladimir Putin, the current leader of Russia. When it comes to the current war and invasion between Russia and Ukraine, JD Vance has stated, “I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another.” Meanwhile, Trump stated in 2023 that he would let Russia “do whatever they want” with Ukraine even though he previously stated he would end the war if he was elected.
